• Lets start from  vijayanagara empire which was not just  built marvelously but also rich among other empires  where people used to sell  diamonds and pearls in every corner of streets

• After krishnadevaraya becoming the king , he established one of the strongest army  to protecting his empire  

• From gatekeeper to warriors and  commanders to cabinet ministers , strategies of running empire  and  tactics in battle was unimaginable and unpredicted from  krishnadevaraya ,

• After ruling for almost 20 years  it was in year 1529 when sri krishnadevaraya  passed away in hampi 

• Even after 30 years of  krishnadevaraya death , sultans  had no dare and  worried to attack vijayanagara because of his army strategies 

• It was under  the rule of aliya rama raya when deccan sultans again started to eye for vijayanagara  empire  

• Rama raya was one the bravest emperor who fought  battles along with sri krishnadevaraya ,

• Rama raya was respecting not just hindu religion but also muslim religion , to prove that he made join the muslim youth into army and sometimes he used to support sultans by sending his army into battles ,

• Not just this even after ministers of vijayanagara empire warned rama raya to not trust musilms  ,  he gave top commander post to  gilani brothers  who left army of adilshah ,

• Rama raya understood  the internal fights of sultans and was using his secular strategies and intelligence for  ruling  vijayanagara empire without any troubles from deccan sultans 

• By knowing this internal politics  strategy,  sultans of bidar , ahmadnagar , bijapur  and golconda united on the religion basis and decided to wage war against vijayanagara empire and loot the wealth 

• Leading the battle from front line at the age of 80   rama raya  orders to participate in  battle field with 500,000 standing army , 37000 cavalry and 1000’s of elephants ,

• On other side of deccan sultans  80,000 standing army , 30,000 of cavalry and  several dozens of deadly cannons  were waiting in the battle ground

• War started in the region of talikota and both the side were fighting strongly and cannons were fired at  vijayanagara troops ,due the cannons many people from vijanagraya died and with sounds of cannons elephants also started to fear ,

• Even after so many casualties vijayanagara empire  was on upper hand and almost defeating the sultans but all of us sudden , an unexpected  thing happened 

• Yes you heard it right top and trusted  muslim commanders of rama raya  who are know as   gilani brothers  stopped giving commands to their troops and started shifting the side towards sultans just because of religion

• Within no time ,  gilani brothers  confused vijayanagara troops by separating muslim army from vijaynagara troops and gave a big shock to rama raya 

• By this betrayal vijayanagara troops confused between their troops and enemy troops ,also  many muslim troops in vijayanagra killed their own troops of hindu on the name of religion by breaking the trust 

• River was filled with blood , and dead bodies are seen everywhere in battle ground , Even after  half of the troops turned against vijayanagara , rama raya was fighting strong with other half 

• Leading the troops , rama raya was sitting on the top of elephant with golden chariot ,

• But within  no time , an enemies elephant hit the rama raya’s elephant by making him fall on ground ,Before rama raya stood  on keens , enemies cut his head and glorify their victory with the head of rama raya

• By hearing the news of defeat , rama raya’s brother tirumala raya  escapes to penukonda by takes his family and needed  wealth  before the arrival of sultans 

• Killing  more than 1 lakh army troops  in battle ground , sultans entered hampi and started killing innocent citizens of vijayanagara and many womens has been raped and paraded naked in front of sultans and killed 

• They have looted so much wealth that historians tell  gold and diamonds were transported on the horses and elephant for  months

•  And when it comes to destruction of vijayanagara empire , they have destroyed Almost all temples , burned scriptures , gods , houses and city was  completely  burnt  in fire,  historians tell that  , it took 5 months to burn and destroy the entire vijayanagara empire 

• The destruction was so bad that even today we can find the trace of destructions on the stone of hampi

• After the battle of talikota map of south india , which was under  hindu empire for centuries was changed completely and never united again
